What is mold? Can it be eliminated?
Mold is a fungus that can form if your car has been left over a long period of time or the interior is repeatedly exposed to moisture. Mold spores can originate from humidity and moisture in a confined area such as your vehicles interior. Mold growth can form in 1-3 months and will gradually keep growing eventually overtaking your entire interior if not eliminated. Stop mold in its tracks with our mold removal process.
What to expect?
Mold is something that needs to be tackled at the source. If your vehicle has a moisture leak for instance that needs to be taken care of either before we complete your service or immediately after to ensure the conditions do not reoccur. We will treat affected areas with vinegar and high-pressure steam followed by an OZONE treatment to eliminate all mold spores.
Our Process:
1) Vacuum all cracks and crevices thoroughly. Including between and under seats as well as inside trunk and cargo areas.
2) Steam clean all plastics and leather surfaces to kill mold spores.
3) Treat all plastics and leather surfaces with vinegar solution to ensure mold spores are eliminated on all surfaces.
4) Treat, extract and steam carpet, fabric seats, and floor mats
using hot water extraction and white vinegar solution.
5) Final steam cleaning and wipe down of all interior surfaces.
6) Steam clean all windows and mirror surfaces.
7) Remove cabin air filter and steam HVAC vents and cabin air filter box.
8) Perform OZONE treatment on interior and HVAC system.
9) Dry interior using powerful fans known as air movers to remove any moisture introduced during the mold removal process.
10) Replace cabin air filter with a new filter. Your old filter may have trapped mold spores that could be recirculated back into your interior once your A/C or heater is turned on if not replaced.
NOTE: We can treat and eliminate moderate mold conditions however in severe cases it may be necessary or more cost effective to just replace items.

Do I need to take my car to you?
Yes, given the complex process involve with mold removal you will need to drop your car off at one of our service locations.
How long does this service take?
Service completion time is dependent upon the current condition and size of your vehicle. Most vehicles should expect a range of 1-2 days however we may need your vehicle for up to 3 days depending on severity of mold .
Will you remove my seats?
Given the complexity of modern vehicle safety restraint and airbag systems we do not remove seats at this time. Unplugging components could compromise your safety and we are just not willing to risk that. We also have the proper tools to work around most all crevices eliminating the need to remove seats.
